PCG’s 4th French-Made Fast Patrol Boat Launched to Sea

French shipbuilder OCEA has launched to the sea in France the fourth and final 24-meter Fast Patrol Boat type OCEA FPB72 Mark II ordered by the Philippine government for Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
The launching was held on August 13. The patrol boat will be known as BRP Kalanggaman (2404) in PCG service.
OCEA launched the third 24-meter FPB72 Mark II, BRP Malamawi (2403) on July 10.
These 3rd and 4th French-made patrol boats are expected to be delivered in November.
Meanwhile, the first and second FPB72 Mark II, BRP Boracay (2401) and BRP Panglao (2402), are already in the country and are scheduled to be commissioned to PCG service on October 17 during the PCG anniversary celebration.
OCEA is also building an 84-meter offshore patrol vessel type OCEA OPV 270 for PCG, expected to be delivered in 2019.
