Philippine Air Force to Acquire MRO Firm

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) is to acquire a local state-owned enterprise to support efforts to enhance its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities.
A senior PAF officer told Jane’s on 26 September that the government was preparing to transfer the Philippine Aerospace Development Corporation (PADC) from the Department of Transportation (DoTr) to the PAF.
The officer said the transfer is currently subject to legal preparatory work and is expected to be finalised soon. The transfer is supported by a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the DoTr and the Philippine Department of National Defense (DND), which was signed in March 2018.
