KORKUT Self-Propelled Low Altitude Air Defense System has received full marks from the Indonesian Armed Forces delegation. KORKUT, which was mentioned by the delegation who performed very high performance compared to its competitors in the challenging tests performed in challenging scenarios, once again filled with its performance.

The Indonesian Armed Forces continues to assess their armored mechanized units for the purchase of self-propelled air defense cannon systems to meet the low-altitude air defense needs. KORKUT stands out among the candidate systems that can meet the needs.



A delegation composed of Indonesian Armed Forces authorities and technical personnel to examine the technical competence of KORKUT system in Ankara came. On 20 September 2018, the delegation was given presentations and demonstrations regarding the capabilities of ASELSAN and the technical features of KORKUT system. Then, during the planned training activities of the Land Forces Command Air Defense School, a successful demonstration of shooting and non-shot tests was carried out in the area of ​​the MSB Konya Karapınar Fire.

The demonstration was a proof that KORKUT had a very effective system against land targets as well as demonstrating its effectiveness against air targets in scenarios including multi-target detection and engagement. An air target and four land targets have been hit successfully in different scenarios, including scenarios showing the system's ability to shoot in motion.



The KORKUT system, which won the admiration and appreciation of the Indonesian delegation, has demonstrated a technical competence and has completed a very important stage in the Indonesian procurement process.

The KORKUT system, which has many outstanding features compared to its peers, is an effective air defense solution against air-to-ground missiles, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles with 35 mm ATOM® Particle Ammunition developed by ASELSAN.
