Ministry of Defense informed the military aircraft case crashed in Khanh Hoa

TTO - June 14, the Military News Agency of the Ministry of Defense issued a notice about the flight safety of regiment 920.

After completing the flight, on the way back to the plane lost contact with the headquarters at 9:35. The unit urgently implemented measures to find, detect and approach aircraft crashed at the foot of Suoi Dau dam, Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa (far from residential areas).

The two pilot pilots were Captain Le Xuan Truong - the chief of staff, 1st squadron, 920th regiment, died in the cockpit, and  Sergeant Dao Van Long - a flight student, died on the way to emergency. .

Currently the Ministry of Defense has directed the Ministry's functional agencies to coordinate with the Air Defense - Air Force to investigate the cause of the accident; coordinate with local units and authorities in the locality to quickly overcome the consequences; visit, motivate the family and resolve policies for 2 sacrificial pilots. An IaK-52 flight training session at the Regiment 920

TTO - Air Force 920 is one of the units responsible for training pilots for the army. In order to have a safe flight, all faculty, rooms, workshops, stations ... all have to work together with the highest sense of responsibility.

Air Force 920 - Air Force Officers School of the Air Defense - Air Force is currently stationed at Cam Ranh airport, Khanh Hoa.

Here training flights are carried out on IaK-52 propeller aircraft and usually start at dawn.

At the aircraft gathering area, around 3am, the technicians, information, petrol, health ... were present.


At 4 am, the order to deploy flight from the regimental headquarters, all forces are focused on carefully preparing all aspects, ensuring eligibility for training flights.

Each aircraft has technical staff to do tasks such as starting the engine, pumping gasoline, cleaning glasses ... meticulously checking every detail on the aircraft, ensuring safety before handing over to the pilot.

"Technicians like us always go ahead and come back. When the aircraft arises unexpectedly, we must find out the cause and fix it right away to ensure every flight is safe. absolutely absolutely "- t rung Hoang Anh Tuan, technical leader of the regiment, said .

In the morning, when the sun came out from the sea, the crew in the position was ready to go straight to the receiving points. After greeting each other according to military etiquette, the technical staff reported: "Report the pilot, the plane has been well prepared".

When the pilot had thoroughly checked and started the engine, determined that the sewing machine was ready to fly, again a command of the pilot: "The plane is ready to fly."


Shortly thereafter, the technicians removed the ladder to the plane, pulled the wheel and waited for the command to fly.

In order to have a safe flight, all staff of the regiment, department, workshop, station ... of the regiment all have to work together with the highest sense of responsibility.

IaK-52 trainer aircraft

The Yakovle Yak-52 training aircraft was designed and built by the Soviet design department Yakovlev in the 1970s, later licensed by Romani's Aerostar and produced under the name IaK-52.

IaK-52 is equipped with an aviation electronic system according to European standards. Length 7.7m, wingspan 9.3m, 2.7m high, 15m 2 wing area , empty weight 1.015kg, maximum takeoff weight 1,315 kg.


The aircraft has a 9-cylinder single-cylinder Vedeneyev M-14P piston engine that provides 360 horsepower. The maximum speed of 360 km / h, the travel speed of 190 km / h, the range of 500 km, the ceiling of 4,000 m, the climbing speed of 7m / s.

The highest flying speed when weight is 1.315kg on a height of 1000m, with more tires 270 km / h, with more and more ski bars 223 km / h.

Students who learn to fly for the first time use IaK-52 because of advantages such as small, light, simple, easy to control and maintain.

The crew on IaK-52 consists of two people.
