Su-27 Flanker fighters of the Vietnam Air Force have been partly transferred to Belarus to accelerate the overhaul process and increase the shelf life.

The Su-27SKM has replaced the original N001 single-target hunting radar with the N001 VEP multipurpose radar, enabling the aircraft to carry advanced aviation weapons including RVV-AE air-to-air missiles; Kh-29T/TE/L, Kh-31A/P surface-to-air missiles and KAB-500KR/1500KR smart bombs. The fuselage frame and engine were also overhauled to allow another 15-20 years.
