PAF Welcomes its C-130H from Malaysia after Maintenance Program

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) welcomed its C-130H with tail number 4704 operating under the 220th Airlift Wing from Subang, Malaysia on October 15 at Mactan International Airport.

The said aircraft had undergone its 6th Year Structural Maintenance Program (SMP) under Aircraft Inspection Repair Overhaul Depot (AIROD).

“The SMP is categorized as Depot Level Maintenance Inspection to ensure the airworthiness and the structural integrity of the aircraft,” the Air Force said.

“As the primary airlift component of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the 220th Airlift Wing has high regard on its C-130s as the Wing’s major air assets that are capable of conducting flight missions which require huge amounts of payload and are able on pursuing long-range navigations,” the Air Force noted.

“With this in mind, the Airlifters were all ardent to witness the safe arrival of the C-130H Nr 4704 which was actualized on the evening of 15 October 2019 in the hallowed runway of the Mactan International Airport,” it added.
