Thai Navy Conducts a Ceremony to Lay a Keel for Two New Coastal Patrol Boat Tor 997 and Tor 998

On 14 November 2019 at 09.49 hrs Admiral Luechai Ruddit, Naval Commander presided over the ceremony for laying the keel for 2 offshore patrol boat at Marson Company Limited, Thai Ban Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Prakan District Samut Prakan Province. With Admiral Wasin Sanjantawarin, Navy Special Advisor as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Coastal Patrol Boat Procurement Project, the senior officers of the Navy and the management of Marson Public Company Limited welcomed the ship. At 09.49 hrs, the naval commander, as the chairman of the ceremony, pressed the electric button to inspect the new coastal patrol boat.
For that keel laying ceremony is believed that the ocean vessels that will be built, the first of the building was to lay the keel first. By having a keel laying ceremony and invited honored guests to participate in the ceremony the president presided over the first rivet and there is a religious ceremony as well.
The keel laying ceremony is considered to create happiness, prevail and permanent prosperity for ships and beyond It is also considered to be the invitation of the Mae Yang boat to reside in at present, there has been an adjustment from the first rivet is to press the electric keel botton.
Snorkeling ceremony for 2 sets of new coastal patrol boats on November 14, 2019, which will be a coastal patrol boat, Tor. 997, consisting of Tor 997 and Tor 998 which is scheduled to deliver the ship on 15 July 2021 as Marsun Public Company Limited received a contract from the Royal Thai Navy (RTN: Royal Thai Navy) in Credit limit of 720,100,000 baht ($ 23,575,681) signed on 26 July 2017.
