Sosna-R of Vietnam could Destroy the Cruise Missile in 10km Distance

Although Sosna is not present in Southeast Asia, the missile system has been in the Vietnamese Navy with impressive strength.
At Army 2018, the manufacturer of the KBtochmash exhibited the Sosna system using 9M317 Sosna-R interceptor missiles and announced the priority of exporting this weapon to Southeast Asian customers. However, the Russian manufacturer does not disclose specific customers interested in this system.
And although the air defense system is not present in Southeast Asia, the 9M317 Sosna-R missile has been supplied by the Vietnamese Navy in a component of the Palma anti-aircraft artillery of Gepard 3.9.
According to SIPRI statistics, Vietnam has purchased up to 200 9M311 Sosna-R missiles. The Palma anti-aircraft missile system was designed to defend against enemy air strikes. It can destroy anti-ship missiles, aircraft as well as small targets on water and on shore.
The 3R-99E 3R-99E system is fully automatic, with eight SOSNA-R missiles. The Sosna-R was built in the launch tube with two 30mm AO-18KD (with 1,500 rounds) automatic six-barrel cannons.

The AO-18KD system can fire up to 10,000 rounds per minute or 180 rounds per second, enough to lower the missile's range of missiles. This design is similar to the Kashtan system - the previous version of Palma, however, the guns and missiles received commands from the 3V-89 multi-channel optical fire control system.
The 3V-89 photovoltaic control system includes television and thermal imaging and remote control and laser control channels. Each 3R-99E combat module weighs 6,900 kg. A complete Palma air defense system consists of four combat modules.
Specifications: Sosna-R can withstand anti-ship missile missiles, cruise missiles at distances up to 10 km and at altitudes up to 5 km, fast-paced artillery missiles at distances up to 4 km and range. High 3 km. This system controls automatically, the reaction time of only 3 to 5 seconds.
The Palma system is currently equipped for a number of Russian Navy's Molniya small-format missile defense ships and a variant of it has been fitted to the Navy's Gepard 3.9 missile defense vessels.
