More mobility than the F-35A, the next generation Korean fighter KF-X unveiled
The physical model of the next-generation Korean fighter KF-X, which is more maneuverable than the F-35A, was unveiled for the first time at Seoul ADEX 2019, an exhibition on Seoul's international aerospace and defense industry.

According to the Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), the KF-X unveiled on the day is capable of flying at a maximum speed of 1.81 Mach (2,200 km / h), with 10 'pods' (PODs, missiles, fuel tanks, etc.) attached to the bottom and wings of the aircraft. Can be equipped with a large number of weapons, such as air-to-air missiles and joint fired missiles. The range is 2,900 km, and it is equipped with the latest avionics equipment, active scanning phased array (AESA) radar and the latest sensors, as well as high power.

The KF-X project, with a total development cost of KRW 8.88 trillion, was started in January 2016, and the basic design was completed in June 2018. The detailed design of the detailed hardware and software is completed, and the parts production is in progress.

The first prototype will be released in the first half of 2021, followed by the first flight test in the first half of 2022, and development will be completed by 2026.
